Welcome to the internet home of the Calgary Association of the Romance Writers of America ®
Calgary is one of RWA’s newest chapter (#201) – affiliated on June 25, 2003 – and we’re thrilled to be part of this vital organization of more than 9500 writers.
We’re a dynamic group of approximately 50 writers (6 of whom are published) who come together to share our experience, strength and hope. Our purpose is to help our members become published, then establish and build careers in romantic fiction. We provide continuing support for each other, both within the industry and within our chapter.
Our meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, every month of the year, whether it’s a holiday or not.
Chapter dues are $60.00. Membership includes attendance at chapter-sponsored events, The Writers Saddle (our newsletter), discounted conference and workshop registration, email loops, and writing programs such as Book in a Week (BIAW), Brainstorm Your Book (BYOB), Matchmakers, and Quick Crits.
