Alli Sinclair: received a partial request from an agency in the US.

Vivi Anna: is going to be on TV on the Big Breakfast show, November 10 at 7:50 a.m.

Donna Tunney: wrote a dramatic monologue for the CBC Alberta Anthology contest ("The Coyote's Lament"), which will air on CBC AM on Nov. 3 at 12:45 p.m. (Wild Rose Country), and Nov. 5 at 7:40 a.m. (Daybreak Alberta). It also appears in book form in "Alberta Anthology 2006", now selling at McNally Robinson.

October 2006

Alli Sinclair: is hard at work rewriting her manuscript targetted to Random House, Australia.

Ryshia Kennie, Mary Racioppo, Julie Rowe, Florence Cardinal, Glenda Elder, Wendy Kromm: have all joined NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) at http://www.nanowrimo.org/.

C J Carmichael: on September 23-24, 2006, catch CJ at the Sweet & Spicy Conference at the Sweet & Spicy Conference offered by the Ottawa Romance Writers in conjunction with Harlequin Enterprises. CJ will be giving her workshop: "The Bestseller Under Your Bed: Revising a rejected Manuscript." She will also be representing Superromance on a panel called: "Insider Secrets: Multipublished Authors Share Their Best Plot Tips for Specific Lines." August 2006

Donna Tunney: is one of the winners in CBC's Alberta Anthology for her monologue, "The Coyote's Lament." Her work will be produced for radio, published in a book coming out this fall, and she'll receive a cash prize.

July 2006

Florence Cardinal: has been offered a contract from ImaJinn Books for her manuscript DEMON IN THE SNOW.

Barbara Dunlop: received a 4 1/2 star Top Pick from Romantic Times for her August release from Harlequin Desire MARRIAGE TERMS.

Julie Rowe: received a request for the first three chapters and synopsis from agent Jessica Faust at BookEnds, LLC.

Linda Ford: announces a three book contract with Harlequin's Love Inspired Historicals line.

June 2006

Sue Rau: received her PRO status.

C J Carmichael: announces that the Superromance she is currently working on is slotted for February 2007 and has been titled LOVE AND THE SINGLE MOM. This book will kick off a six-book series with the remaining books in the series by other authors.

Julie Rowe: received a letter from agent Pam Hopkins. After reading the partial of Julie's medical romance, THE ICE DOCTOR'S BABY, she now wants to see the full manuscript.

Elizabeth Lukinuk: Just received news from Melissa Endlich, editor of Steeple Hill's new Love Inspired Historical line. Melissa has requested the complete manuscript.

C J Carmichael: Do you have an abandoned manuscript gathering dust? Superromance author C.J. Carmichael can help. She'll be presenting "The Bestseller Under Your Bed: Revising a Rejected Manuscript" at the Ottawa Romance Writers' Association conference on September 23-24, 2006.

April 2006

Janet Gurtler: Is a winner of the Chick Lit Writers of the World's Classic Chick Lit category for her book SEARCHING FOR MR. DAR-HAIRED MAN.

Joyce Ramsey: Is a finalist in the Golden ACORN contest in the Mainstream with Romantic Elements category with her book MORALLY MINE. Her entry goes to an editor at HQN.

Vivi Anna: You are cordially invited to Tawny Stokes' book launch of Hell Kat, Saturday April 22nd. Party starts at 8 PM at the Chapters Spectrum in NE Calgary. Wine and cheesecake for all!

March 2006

Julie Rowe: finals in the 2006 Golden Heart contest in the Short Contemporary category with her books INTENSIVE CARE and PRESCRIPTION MARRIAGE.

C J Carmichael: finals in the 2006 Holt Medallion contest in the Long Contemporary category with her book A LITTLE SECRET BETWEEN FRIENDS.

Pamela Odidison: landed an agent, Sha-Shana Crichton and got a two-book deal with Harlequin's new African-American line Kimani Books.

Kellie Finley Marchak: has been asked to present two workshops at the RWA Conference in Atlanta—"Recognizing Change – In Yourself and In Your Characters" and "Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Having A Website But Were Afraid To Ask".

Vivi Anna: has a March release, Sexy Beast, which was one of the books featured on Gerlado at Large.

January 2006

Moira Stelmack: celebrates her first ebook release, Fool's Paradise with Wings ePress.

Florence Cardinal: has been asked to teach an online workshop in May for the LRWA, and asked for another workshop for October.

Kellie Finley Marchak: has been asked to teach a workshop for the Caroline Romance Writers.

C J Carmichael: won of the Aspen Gold Contest with her book Seattle After Midnight.

Brenda Collins: received her PRO pin.

Vivi Anna: sold her novella, Quick Silver, a futuristic, to Avon Books.
