November 2008

Carolyne Aarsen: For her January 2009 release, Carolyne received a 4 star review. Romantic Times says: "A FAMILY FOR LUKE by Carolyne Aarsen.  The house next door to the one Luck Harris is renovating belongs to Janie Corbett and her three children.  They get off on the wrong foot when Luke’s dog scares Janie’s little girl, but it’s just as well.  Janie’s had no time for men since the death of her undependable ex-husband.  As for Luke, he’s having his own struggle with God since his foster father’s death and his mother’s desire to meet with him.  This is a lovely story with a dog and kids and a hero who sees the heroine as God wants her to be seen."

Linda Ford: For her January 2009 release, Linda received a 4 star review. Romantic Times says: "THE PATH TO HER HEART by Linda Ford  Booth Wallace and his little boy, Jessie, come to South Dakota in 1934 to help Booth’s aunt, Ada, run her boarding house.  He doesn’t have much respect for doctors nad nurses, blaming them for the death of his wife, so he wants nothing to do with nurse Emma Spencer. But when his custody of Jessie is threatened, he needs her to pretend to be his fiancée.  He doesn’t count on Emma thawing his heart of stone.  Will these two people be able to come out of their dust storm whole and healed?  Don’t miss Ford’s tender love story."

Lila has as much reason for disillusionment as Brody, but love doesn't equal loss to her. Can Brody find the courage to try really living again? Cara Colter's His Mistletoe Bride (4.5) has everything: wonderful characters, humor and emotional depth. It also has a great ending."
