Welcome
to CaRWA's Quick Crits, a service for CaRWA members provided by CaRWA
members.
Send
out your best work by submitting your polished proposal or first chapter
to Quick Crits for a final read before entering it in a contest or sending
it to an editor. You remain anonymous and the Quick Crit turnaround
is two weeks or less.
How
it Works
To receive a Quick
Crit, just volunteer as a Quick Crit reader. It will only take a few
minutes to fill out a questionnaire and return a signed Quick Crit Agreement
to CaRWA. Find the forms in the Member's
Only section of the web site.
Become familiar
with the specific Quick Crit guidelines so when you are asked to read
for another member, you can provide the same great service you expect
to receive.
Email your thirty
page (ordinary contest) or your ninety page (Golden Heart, Editor/Agent
requested partial) .doc submission to the Quick Crit Coordinator with
the completed Quick Crit Request Form. Remember to omit personal identifying
information from your manuscript.
The Quick Crit
Co-ordinator will match your submission with the best possible reader,
who will provide the type of feedback you request.
