The 2nd Annual Summer Solstice Workshop (and AGM) is scheduled for SATURDAY, JUNE 14th from 9:30 am to 4 pm at the CARDEL THEATRE.
THIS YEAR's GUEST SPEAKERS: CJ CARMICHAEL and BARB DUNLOP
Here's how the day will unfold:
9:30-10:00 Figure out how to get the coffee urn to work. Cram your potluck dish in the overcrowded fridge. Drop your Food Bank donation into likely box. Talk, hug, hug, talk.
10:00. Assemble in theatre for AGM. WARNING: the meeting can sometimes drag on for twenty minutes. Tawny intends to bring down Carla's previous record time of 18 minutes.

12:00 EAT!!! TALK!!!
1:15 Barb Dunlop will speak on how to KEEP YOUR ROMANCE FRONT AND CENTER with additional notes on pacing and characterization.
2:45 RUSH to grab coffee, queue at the one washroom. RUSH BACK for ....
3:00 AUTHORS PANEL. All attending authors will take the stage to field questions from the audience. I'll moderate it again, and am resolved not to put up with any pink-shirted guests badmouthing it as happened last year.
4:00 WRAP-UP, CLEAN-UP, HEAD OUT.
Like last year, everyone attending is invited to bring one guest interested in writing and/or CARWA. And throughout the day, watch out for the lovely Lauren Hawkeye and her bag of goodies.
AND like last year, the event is free to all members and guests. BE SURE your membership has been renewed before then. Registration need only be a head count.
NOTE: At the beginning of June, watch the CaRWA e-mail loop for a notice for registration. DON'T register till then.
