CaRWA

2018 Fall Industry Workshop with Sarah Johnson and Jim Jackson

On Saturday, October 20, 2018, CARWA held the Fall Industry Workshop at our usual meeting place, Highland Park Community Centre. Twenty writers attended and heard from two guest speakers.

Sarah Johnson—creative writing teacher, free-lance editor and Literary Events Manage at Owl’s Nest Books—presented an interactive workshop “For the Love of Craft”. She followed this with an informative talk on Building Relationships with Booksellers.

In the afternoon, Jim Jackson—the author of “How to Tell a Really Good Story about Absolutely Anything in 4 Easy Steps”—talked about branding and marketing.
